I believe we need to address the federl restrictions on veterans which can be imposed at the discretion of a non court exevutive action. The Constitution clearly states that the people are entitled to due process. Please pass these bills to do what you can to support the Constitution. Thank you. Mike Monaldi

This Bill must be passed. We cannot continue to allow the Federal Government to nullify the powers vested in the States through the Constitution of this country.

Since the 10th Amendment of the US Constitution makes it clear that all powers not granted to the federal government are reserved to the states and the People, the regulation of the ownership of arms is a state, not a federal matter. That applies to ALL such regulation!

I respectfully demand that our Missouri legislators take no less than the strongest, most principled stand they can take to defend our right to keep and bear arms! The "Second Amendment Preservation Act" assures the strongest and most principled protection of the right to keep and bear arms possible. I take great comfort in the fact that the Act utilizes the words of two prominent Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison, to explain Missouri's authority to nullify unconstitutional federal edicts within her borders. Including this language is essential to the success of the bill and protecting the rights of all Missourians. I urge you to pass this bill as soon as practical.

Thank you for the opportunity to testify.

I have worked 10 years in the VA system, although many mental health professionals are competent, the "slippery slope"of this part of the Brady Bill is concerning to me. I know that as an RN who has worked in the ICU's taking care of very sick veterans that many times (while hospitalized) patients become temporarily confused (the numerous medications they are on) cause this and they say things they otherwise would not. I am concerned that this section of the Brady Bill could be used against them.

"shall not be infringed" is simple to understand. Protect the 2nd amendment!

I urge you to pass this bill. As our Federal government is devastating all of our rights as a free people the Second amendment is the last bastion of what is left of our freedoms. Once that is gone, the people of Missouri will surely suffer as has happened in other countries where firearms prohibition has happened. Our Second Amendment protects ALL Missourians whether they posses firearms or not as it presents an unknown to those intent on doing us harm. Without it we will surely suffer at the hands of criminals and most assuredly the government.

Thank you,
Tim Zang

We must not let the government take our freedom's away from us, this includes the second amendment. we must stand up for ourselves and our children and grandchildren. We cannot and should not trust the government. Specifically the people of Germany trusted Hitler when he moved on the German people and took guns and everything else from them and look what happened. We cannot trust who is in the Whitehouse and his follower's. We need to stand up and fight to keep our God Guiven freedoms or one by one they will be taken away.

Have we not had enough of the president, legislators and judiciary redefining the original meaning of our founding documents? Now the VA could use an unconstitutional clause in the Brady bill to put our nation at the mercy of tyrants. People have killed other people since the first sibling rivalry took the life of one fourth of the earth's population. Sometimes they use guns, but taking away guns from the law abiding citizens, especially veterans who were willing to die to protect us, is unconscionable and will NOT stop the violence. It will only make it possible for tyranny to perpetrate the kind of violence witnessed whenever tyrants get too much power. Please study history and make a wise decision here, or you will become history, for reasons that won't be well remembered. A right decision based on understanding, one that honors God, will cause you to go down in history as ones who stood against tyranny and for theTruth. You will be in our prayers as you fight this domestic enemy. May the Lord give you wisdom, strength and courage.
